I’m a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist living in Los Angeles, CA.  You may have seen or heard me or my work on ABC, MTV, VHI, Lifetime, KCRW, in a gym, on the big screen, or even in a stadium or strangely enough on the radio in Latvia (who knew?).

I moved to Los Angeles after getting a degree in Music Product & Engineering from Berklee College of Music where I was awarded the Creativity Scholar award for my projects there and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While there I joined a band called The Broken Word as the lead singer and we played all over Boston, Cambridge and even NYC. In L.A. I got to work at the world famous Record Plant recording studios where I got to work with the likes of Mary J Blige, Evanescence, Snoop Dogg and Kanye West to name a few.  During that time I created my first solo project, Alder, and made a few great records. My first one “Long Way Down” was mixed and co-produced with the amazingly talented Mike Butler.

From there I went out on my own to figure out what was next and made a couple more Alder albums and also joined a band called Freddy & Francine playing piano, accordion, and singing background vocals. I produced their first 2 records and then eventually left the band to start a rock band with some friends called Ocelot Robot.  We had an amazing time and did some crazy things including hosting a film festival for 3 years, threw a party in a pit, worked as models for a shoe company’s catalog (GBX), got treated like rock stars for a photo shoot at the Marlboro ranch in Montana, were interviewed on the radio, toured, made a ton of music videos, played at the Troubadour, made 3 records and generally had a pretty great time.

Like all good things that must come to an end, we eventually all had to move onto other things. I started playing mandolin and within months was playing it in a band called Dinosaur Tooth and played every Tuesday at Brennan’s Pub in Venice beach among other venues.  Eventually I got my own night at Brennan’s playing solo every Wednesday night from 9-12 for about a year.

Now I’m learning fiddle, recording a solo album, hosting a songwriting group, trying to keep writing, playing as much as possible, and collaborating with fellow artists as much as possible. You can find me the first Thursday of every month at Sonny McLean’s in Santa Monica as well as once a month at the Farmer’s Market at the Grove in Hollywood.
